Starting with the Indian Bay Leaf :)

Botanical Name: Cinnamomum tamala (Cinnamomum tejpata, Laurus tamala)
English: Indian Bay Leaf, Indian cassia
Odia: ତେଜପତ୍ର (teja patra)
Hindi: तेजपत्ता (tejpatta)
Sanskrit: तमालपत्र (tamalapattra)
Bengali: তেজপাত (tejpat)
Gujarati: તમાલપત્ર (tamaal patr)
Marathi: --
Telugu: Talisapatri, Talisha, Patta akulu

Description
Grows as a tree. Looks similar to Cinnamon.
Used as a Spice in north Indian cuisine. Has been used as a medicine since a long time.
